Tarragon supplies are running short due to weather problems in Israel. New Covent Garden Market wholesaler Desiree has been struggling to procure the specialist herb either directly or through its supplier VHB.
Director Ashleigh Kington told FPJ: “It is a slow growing herb and the snow in December and the frosts in January wiped out the crop.
"Generally business has been growing on tarragon and people have been coming to us who don’t usually buy it from us.”
