Visitors will no doubt be tempted by a tipple

Tesco is aiming to draw people north with the fourth edition of its Enjoy the Taste of Scotland event with more than 100 food and drink suppliers exhibiting in May.

The event, in Glasgow’s George Square from 8-10 May, is set to draw-in more than 21,000 people seeking to take in a culinary tour of Scotland, browsing stalls and meeting the producers from all over Scotland.

The show will feature a huge range of products including garlic grown on the Moray Firth coast Scottish, Orkney cheddar and heather and blossom honey from Perthshire.

The popular Celebrity Cookery Theatre will see a line-up of top Scottish chefs showcasing top local recipes following in the footsteps of Nick Nairn and Andrew Fairlie last year.

The event also features hands-on activities such as planting herbs and milking Daisy the Cow as well as cookery workshops and competitions.
