Four lucky youngsters from Kent will see their recipes printed on cards for distribution in Tesco stores across the county, as they picked up prizes in the Bramley Bicentenary Cooking Competition at the show.

The competition was sponsored by Tesco, English top-fruit marketing desk Norman Collett and local newspaper Kent Messenger. Quentin Sandell, Tesco buyer for the south of England, handed out the certificates.

In the primary school category, Sophie White from Ditton Primary School, Aylesford, was the runner-up, while Lucy Bullows of the Bodsham School in Ashford won the top prize.

In the secondary school category, Lucy Callaghan of Aylesford School -Sports College was the runner-up, while fellow pupil Thomas Young scooped first prize.
