Partnership adds to retailer’s On Demand service which currently offers convenience delivery through the Milkrun app

Woolworths has partnered with DoorDash, reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to provide Australian customers with ultra convenient grocery delivery options.
The partnership adds to Woolworths’ current delivery service, On Demand, which represents 40 per cent of all ecommerce orders for the supermarket.
With On Demand, customers can shop Delivery Now which provides a full grocery shop delivered in under two hours from over 700 stores, or Direct to Boot where customers can pick up their order from their local store in under 60 minutes.
Customers also have the opportunity to place an order via the Milkrun app, where groceries can be delivered, on average, in 33 minutes from over 630 Woolworths stores nationwide.
The DoorDash partnership further expands Woolworths’ convenience offer, where customers will soon be able browse and purchase a wide range of Woolworths products on the delivery app, including pantry staples, fresh food and household essentials.
“Customers continue to look for more fast and flexible options to fulfill their grocery needs,” said Woolworths group managing director, eComX, Amitabh Mall.
“Partnering now with DoorDash allows us to add another convenient option that will leverage our extensive store network to reach more customers, more often, through platforms they already use every day.”
DoorDash vice president APAC, Simon Rossi said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Woolworths to DoorDash. Woolworths is Australia’s largest supermarket and their arrival soon on our platform reflects our commitment to expanding choice, convenience and value for customers.
“Consumer choice is at the heart of what we do at DoorDash, and with Woolworths joining our platform, we’re more excited than ever to bring even more grocery selection to more households across the country.”
