Organic avocado specialist Eurofresh has announced the appointment of Joaquín Reig as its new CEO to lead the group’s ongoing international expansion.
Reig is an industrial engineer and specialist in business management with more than 15 years’ management and business development experience in multinational companies.
Eurofresh owner Francisco Claros will assume the role of president, overseeing the group’s development strategy as an expert in organic production.
Headquartered in Málaga, Spain, Eurofresh pioneered the cultivation of organic avocados in Latin America and today operates its own farms and packing operations in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Morocco and the Netherlands.
By retaining control of the value chain, the company guarantees a sustainable supply of premium quality fruit to the European and US markets.
Eurofresh is undergoing a period of rapid expansion that has included the incorporation of a number of new products to its export line-up.
