The UK’s Groceries Code Adjudicator has launched its annual survey to assess how well retailers are abiding by regulations governing their relationship with their suppliers.

Christine Tacon is inviting British and overseas suppliers to complete an online survey on retailer compliance with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice.

Tacon told Fruitnet that this was “an opportunity for all suppliers to tell me about their experiences with all the regulated retailer” and that the results would help shape her work for the coming 12 months, as well as alert her to any emerging issues and developments.

“The more responses I receive, the deeper I can delve into the issues affecting the sector,” she said.

“Your views are very important so please be frank and open when you complete the survey and encourage your fellow suppliers to do the same.”

This year’s survey includes two additional retailers designated by the Competition and Markets Authority –Ocado and B&M.

The annual survey, conducted by YouGov, is open until 23 April and results are treated in the strictest confidence. It can be found at www.yougov.com/gca.
