At a board meeting held on 27 June, the directors of Fedepom, the French trade union representing the potato sector, elected as their new president Gilles Fontaine, director of Desmazières, a producer of potato plants based in Pas de Calais.
Also elected were Marc Morellato of Pom'Alliance and Régis Wecxsteen of Wecxsteen, who were chosen as the union's vice-presidents.
Meanwhile, Jacques Leszczynski of Gillet has taken on the role of treasurer, while Françoise Bayard of Bayard has become secretary general.
