The Fruit Logistica Innovation Award, which over the past decade has grown to become recognised as one of the most prestigious awards in the fresh produce industry, is open for business once more.
Ahead of Fruit Logistica 2016, which takes place in Berlin on 3-5 February next year, applications have now opened to all those exhibiting at the event, who have brought an exceptional innovation to the market between 1 November 2014 and 31 October 2015.
It will mark the eleventh edition of the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award, which is presented for outstanding innovations in the fresh produce sector and its service industries by Messe Berlin and Fruchthandel Magazine.
Nominees will be cut down to a shortlist of ten by a panel of experts, with the finalists on display at Fruit Logistica. Visitors to the show will then vote for their favourite over the first two days, with a special awards ceremony taking place on Friday 5 February to announce the winner.
