BerryWorld has picked up two gongs in the Quality Food Awards 2015, in the fruit and seasonal produce categories.
The company won the fruit award for its M&S Sapphire raspberries, while it collected the seasonal award thanks to its Tesco Finest Berry Selection, which contains BerryWorld proprietary varieties Sweet Eve strawberries, BerryJewel raspberries and Black Magic blackberries.
“It is great to see our growers and staff recognised for their dedication and passion to the soft-fruit industry,” said Adam Olins, managing director of BerryWorld.
“Our long-term philosophy of being involved from breeding to marketing has given us a unique proposition on a global scale. We are particularly pleased that during our first full year with our raspberry varieties (Sapphire, BerryJewel and BerryGem), we have achieved sales of over £40 million retail throughout Europe.
