Anecoop bouquet para preparar

Anecoop has launched a new range of meal solutions for time-poor consumers who don’t want to compromise on the pleasures and taste of home cooking.

Marketed under the ‘Bouquet para preparar’ (Bouquet to prepare) brand, the range comprises a selection of fresh premium vegetables in a biodegradable tray, which allows the consumer to purchase all the ingredients to prepare a dish by following a simple recipe.

It includes trays to prepare soups, vegetable dishes, salads and smoothies, such as vichyssoise, pumpkin and carrot soup, gazpacho, and wok and grilled vegetable selections.

The trays have an average shelf life of ten days and allow the consumer to prepare a meal for three or four people for less than one euro per person.

By combining the right ingredients, in the correct quantity in a biodegradable container, food and packaging waste is avoided.

The concept, which was launched at this week’s Fruit Attraction trade fair in Madrid, has been selected as one of the finalists in the fair’s Accelera Awards for Innvoation and Entrepreneurship.

Anecoop has also introduced several new lines to its ¿Y Si de Bouquet? convenience range, which was launched last year as part of the company’s new Express Slow Food concept.

The 100 per cent natural range provides simple meal options at a competitive price that allows busy consumers to eat a three-course menu based on fruits and vegetables with little or no preparation.

The latest additions include vegetarian hamburgers, tapenade, vegetable spreads, soya nuggets and organic soups enriched with superfoods such as spirulina, chlorella and chia seeds.

The company is also trialling a Kombucha fermented tea drink, with a view to developing a full range of fermented fruit products in the future.

“These new products are part of our strategy to increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables and to promote a healthy life, helping consumers to rediscover the pleasure of cooking for oneself,” said Anecoop's president Alejandro Monzón.

“We produce 100 per cent of the ingredients in each product, based around an innovative proposal that breaks the mould of classic salads and prepared foods.”

Since its launch last year, Anecoop has sold more than 2m products under its ¿Y Si de Bouquet? banner, which is available in leading retailers including Carrefour, Eroski and Consum.

There are now plans to roll out the range in other European markets under the Easy de Bouquet banner.
