SanLucar sustainability report

SanLucar has reaffirmed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact by publishing its Progress Report for the 2017/18 campaign.

The document provides transparent information on the initiatives undertaken by the Valencia-based company in support of the ten principles driven by the UN Global Compact to promote sustainable development in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.

For the first time, the annual report includes information on SanLucar's contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

“As a global company, we are guided by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. On this basis we have defined in 2018 the six fields of action that concern us: education, nutrition, sport, soil, water and air,” said CEO Michael Brinkmann.

“It is precisely on these pillars that we base our social and environmental initiatives, within the framework of our corporate responsibility programme ‘Dreams’.”

Highlighting the company’s philosophy, taste in harmony with people and nature, Brinkmann said SanLucar worked with its partners, “both locally and globally, to build a better future”.

The new report features extensive use of infographics and other visual elements, making it easier to read and to understand its content.

“With this renewed image, we want to ensure that our advances in social and environmental commitment are easily accessible,” Brinkmann said.
