Uber Eats

Portuguese salad specialist Vitacress has joined forces with Uber Eats to supply healthy, locally-grown meals to consumers in Lisbon.

The Odemira-based company has launched a pilot project in three districts of the city to provide ready-to-eat salads and snacks through the online food ordering and delivery platform.

The products that will be available on the platform are the Supreme, Sea, American, Vegan and Vegetable Garden salads and snacks such as cherry tomatoes and baby carrots.

“The aim of the partnership is to facilitate the healthy food choices with practical proposals that come directly from Odemira,” Vitacress said.

“Being where the consumer is, whether at home, at the beach or at the office. This is the main objective of Vitacress – a 100 per cent Portuguese company based in Odemira – who want to bring practical and healthy food proposals to the Portuguese.”

In the first phase, the pilot will cover the Expo area, Campo Pequeno (Saldanha and Avenidas Novas) and the area around the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in Carcavelos.

In the future the goal is to extend the partnership across the entire Lisbon metropolitan area and to other parts of the country.

“One of Vitacress’s priorities is our proximity to our consumers. We want our foods to be more and more part of various moments of your life, so we have also been adapting the distribution of our products to new market platforms, such as Uber Eats,” said Nuno Crispim, marketing director at Vitacress.
