SanLucar

SanLucar has published its Progress Report for the 2018/2019 campaign, reaffirming its commitment to the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The document provides transparent information on the corporate responsibility initiatives that have been undertaken by the company, which signed the Global Compact in 2011 and has been a member of the Spanish Global Compact Network since 2018.

This time, the report introduces a new chapter dedicated to the topic of production.

The company said its daily activities have been shaped by its corporate philosophy, taste in harmony with people and nature, since its founding.

As part of its Dreams (Developing Responsible Environments And Multicultural Societies) corporate responsibility programme, SanLucar is carrying out international social and environmental projects for employees, their families and the local community. “We collaborate with non-profit organisations, the Spanish Global Compact Network and the working group of the food sector, as well as chambers of commerce, suppliers and clients,” said founder and owner Stephan Rötzer.

“Together we have more ideas and strength to achieve a sustainable impact in all countries where we are present.”

For the past ten years SanLucar has published its sustainability data with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) indicators, adding every year more of the group's subsidiaries to the scope of the report.

Since last year the company has also incorporated detailed information on its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in its Progress Report.

“The 2030 agenda for sustainable development provides an important framework for our daily activity and for our corporate responsibility goals. We are implementing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and we are on the right track,” said Rötzer.

The current edition of the report is provided with infographics and other visual elements. It illustrates the actions by which SanLucar supports the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact in order to promote sustainable development in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and the fight against corruption.

SanLucar’s Progress Report is hosted on the company’s website.
