Spain’s biggest supermarket, Mercadona, has launched a new disinfectant for fruit and vegetables for customers concerned about the transmission of the coronavirus.
The 500ml bottles, sold under the retailer’s Bosque Verde brand, are available for €2.
The disinfectant can be diluted and used to soak fruit and vegetables for up to 15 minutes. Afterwards they must be properly rinsed with water, according to the instructions.
