Next week (w/c 21 July) will see the arrival of over 100,000 organic bananas from Ecuador as premium fresh fruit producer BanaBay expands its product range into the UK.
The introduction to the UK of the premium-quality and ethically-produced range is being seen as an opportunity for forward growth and success across the entire BanaBay range.
BanaBay was established less than two years ago with a single container shipment of Cavendish bananas into the UK, but the operation has now progressed to more than 50 containers to 10 countries worldwide.
Business development manager Harley Williams, said: “Having investigated the market for organic bananas at Fruit Logistica in Berlin earlier this year, we felt the time was right for us to add to the range of produce we supply into the UK, where there is a real appetite for organic produce. Once we have bedded in the new line, we expect other countries in Europe to follow suit.”
