Among her responsibilities was developing the brand in the USA and investigating the setting up of BanaBay Inc. She was also involved in procurement, having visited several plantations in Costa Rica with the quality control team to source pineapples.

Briony was regarded as instrumental in developing the brand image for BanaBay, managing the marketing collateral and building an image library to reflect the healthy eating, family-friendly, ethical ethos of BanaBay.

She was behind BanaBay's decision to sponsor the London Produce Show and developed promotional ideas to maximise the company's impact at the event including approaching the chef of a Latin American restaurant to develop some recipes incorporating newly launched plantains.

She was an effective networker, building strong contacts within the industry, taking part in events both locally in Birmingham and further afielde.g. Fresh Produce Consortium, as well as internationally, and represented BanaBay at Asia Fruit Logistica.

To promote the importance of including fruit in the diet for healthy active lifestyles, Briony co-ordinated events and formed charitable links arranging free supplies of bananas for fun runs. She was also responsible for bringing on board brand ambassador Mike Edwards, a high jumper with team GB who relies on six to eight BanaBay bananas a day to fuel and sustain him through his training programme and nutritional plan.
