Former Waitrose buyer Amy Lance has joined growing box scheme company HelloFresh as head of technical.
Lance, who has been on unpaid sabbatical from Waitrose for the last year, will join Shoreditch-based HelloFresh on 2 May.
During her time away from work, she completed a post graduate course in post harvest technology at California research institute UC Davis, as well as volunteering at produce firms in Senegal and South Africa to learn about different perspectives across the supply chain.
Lance joined Tesco as a buyer after graduating, before moving to Waitrose to a role in produce R&D, and then becoming a buyer.
