The deadline to enter the 2019 UK Fruit & Vegetable Awards has been extended for a further 10 days, giving companiesand individuals more time to take part.

The UK Fruit & Vegetable Awards are run by FPJ and voted for by readers of the magazine, giving it a unique democratic and transparent judging process.

The new entry deadline for the free-to-enter awards is 8 July, and with only 250 words and a picture required there's no excuse for not taking part. Winners will be crowned at a fun and informal Awards Social at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 7 October, on the eve of FPJ Live 2019.

A diverse range of categories offers something for everyone, from a focus on innovation, unsung heroes and charity work to fresh produce category-specific awards.

FPJ editor Michael Barker said: 'We've had some brilliant entries so far, and following requests for extra time to enter we've extended the deadline until 8 July. Taking part is quick and easy and offers a brilliant opportunity to be recognised by the whole of the industry for your great work over the past year.

'We hope to recognise, reward and inspire with some of the excellent examples of innovative and imaginative thinking taking place in fresh produce right now.'
