New conference event European Vegetable Strategies (EVS2014) is set to take place in Brussels on 4-5 June, providing a platform for discussion of some of the main issues affecting the sector, and giving delegates every opportunity to meet and network.

Themes will include ways to grow fresh vegetable and salad sales in Europe, new methods of marketing such products more effectively to European consumers, and how to ensure the support of the major supermarkets and public authorities.

As many as 200 decision-makers from Europe’s fresh vegetable business are expected to attend the event, which takes place at the Hotel Bloom in central Brussels.

EVS2014 is organised by Europe’s produce business magazines, Eurofruit, Fruchthandel and the Fresh Produce Journal, and is sponsored by VLAM/Flandria, with other companies and organisations signing up now.

Further information on the conference programme, which is still being finalised, is available online at the EVS2014 website.
