Filipino company Agrinurture is set to become the exclusive distributor of Del Monte Pacific’s fresh pineapples in China under the S&W brand.
According to Filipino newspaper Malaya, Agrinurture president Tony Tiu said the move would allow the company to take a larger share of China’s pineapple market.
“The agreement starts this April and it is a contract that is renewable annually,” said Mr Tiu.
Along with bananas and mangoes, pineapples are one of the company’s main exports.
