US exporters will visit markets across the globe as part of efforts to expand trade

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has scheduled six agricultural trade missions for 2025 as part of efforts to expand and diversify global market opportunities for US agriculture.
The current trade missions include visits to Jakarta, Indonesia in February 2026; Manila, Philippines in April 2026; Istanbul, Turkey in May 2026; Australia and New Zealand in August 2026; Saudi Arabia in September 2026 and Vietnam in November 2026.
Luke J Lindberg, under secretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs said the US government was committed to breaking down barriers and expanding new markets for US agriculture.
“Boosting exports is critical to the success of the agricultural economy, and the American economy as a whole. Each year, USDA’s team of marketing and trade experts pinpoint new and growing global markets that offer top-notch prospects for US exporters,” said Lindberg.
The missions target markets the US has secured recent trade breakthroughs with. Indonesia said it would eliminate tariffs on more than 99 per cent of US products and address long-standing barriers to US agricultural trade, in a joint statement with the US in July 2025.
The mission to Vietnam will seek to capitalise on several key market wins, including improved access for certain US agricultural products including US peaches and nectarines.
