Gamarra is CEO of Sunshine Export and brings more than 15 years of experience in international trade, aquaculture, and agribusiness

The Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (Apem) has appointed Keyner Gamarra as its new president for the 2026-28 term, as part of the renewal of its board of directors. He succeeds Iván Vílchez, who led the association since 2024.

Gamarra, current CEO of Sunshine Export, has more than 15 years of experience in international trade, aquaculture, and agribusiness. Throughout his career in the Peruvian agricultural export sector, he has led sales teams and managed operations focused on international markets.

The new Apem board also includes Emelina Carmona as vice president and César Morocho as treasurer.

Following his appointment, Gamarra reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the competitiveness of Peruvian mangoes, promoting collaboration within the sector, and fostering the sustainable growth of the country’s agricultural exports.

Peru is a key supplier of mangoes to markets such as the US, Europe, and Asia, through both sea and air shipments.
