Advice&Consulting has launched a new orchard management app that improves the organisation of workers and leads to more timely and targeted interventions, minimising the use of water, pesticides and other inputs and improving productivity and fruit quality.
Agrinsight sends push notifications when anomalies are detected, facilitating instant communication with technicians that support fruit growers in every step of the production process.
Using innovative sensors installed in the orchard, the software transmits real-time information via smartphone, tablet or computer sent from weather stations, leaf wetness sensors, pheromone insect taps and advanced volumetric soil probe sensors with temperature detection.
Historical data can also be consulted, thereby providing an overview of orchards through simple charts, that allow for immediate visualisation and in-depth analysis. Agrinsight automatically confronts the data detected by sensors with the optimal values and sends alerts when anomalies are found.
The integrated chat supported by agronomic experts’ staff and the Orchard Journal within the app streamline internal communication across the organisation and allows teams to collaborate and organisations to record and manage all the activities for each crop.
Agrinsight also supports the fruit grower in the pre- and post-harvest phases, providing assistance in determining the right harvesting window and the correct conservation of fruits in coldstorage.
The hardware comprises the innovative sensors and a tool kit to check the state of ripeness and conservation, which includes instruments for measuring factors such as size, weight, hardness of the pulp, sugar content, temperature, and acidity.
A chat function with the coldstorage experts offers constant support to the fruit grower even in these phases.
