Mash Direct is giving the potato category a kick with the launch of a new chilli wedges range.
The Salt and Chilli Wedges were inspired by Asian cooking, according to the Northern Irish growers and processing business.
The home-grown potatoes are hand cut and tossed in the salt and chilli season, and taps into the growing convenience market. Mash Direct describe them as ideal for mid-week and weekend dinner options.
Sales director, Lance Hamilton said: “Potato products on the whole are a firm household staple and we strive to produce new and exciting potato dishes that are bursting with flavour as well as providing meal time solutions without compromising on quality or nutritional value.

The new product will be launched across Northern Irish retailers and supermarkets, priced at £1.89.
