Northern Irish drinks manufacturer Norbev has developed new product formulations and packaging to help the small to medium size chains develop their own bespoke drinks.

Norbev has been making drinks since 1919 and last year produced over 96 Million bottles, but has specialized in supplying to the major drinks brands.

The SME market is a new departure, said commercial director Damien McCarthy said: “As money gets tighter, consumers are looking for value for money without sacrificing quality.

“Own label products (OLP) can offer this, but rather than just copying the leading brands we offer a bespoke service to develop both unique formulations as well as eye catching packaging.”

Norbev is keen to help the smaller chains move into the OLP market and take advantage of lower prices and higher margins. Working in conjunction with Brand Relations, the company is already developing branded water for large events, such as football matches, allowing fans to take home a bottle of Irish Spring Water, for instance with their favourite player pictured on the front.

The firm is looking for interest from the fruit and vegetable sector, to expand its customer base. Further details are available at www.norbev.co.uk
