The Royal Horticultural Society has awarded a vegetable specialist from the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) with a medal of honour for his services to horticulture.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex (left) and RHS president Elizabeth Banks presented Mike Day with the RHS Associateship of Honour at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show earlier this month. The award is in recognition for Day’s outstanding work within horticulture, particularly for his 40 years of service to NIAB.
