Wealmoor took the title of ‘FPJ’ Importer of the Year at the Re:Fresh awards.
The company, founded by Rati Dhanani, has pioneered many of the developments that have pushed the exotics sector to its present importance.
In the UK Wealmoor operates a facility near Heathrow specifically designed for the efficient handling of inbound fresh produce. Its transport fleet collects bonded, airfreighted loads in conditions designed to maintain freshness during their onward journey.
Wealmoor has embraced category management techniques and engages in wide ranging activities to promote the use and consumption of exotics. Its own efforts in product development have focused recently on organics and Fairtrade.
