Sydney Markets announces 89 finalists, across 22 award categories for annual fresh produce and flower industry awards
Sydney Markets has announced the 2024 Fresh Awards finalists which recognise achievements across the fresh produce and flower industry. Award categories cover the breadth of the supply chain including greengrocers, produce and flower growers, wholesalers, providores, and more from across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
This year, there are 89 finalists, across 22 award categories. The awards will be presented at the Fresh Awards gala dinner on 12 July at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
Participants were evaluated on everything from product quality and freshness to customer service and industry knowledge through a rigorous judging process that includes a mix of customer surveys, farm inspections and a mystery shopping program.
Sydney Markets chief executive, Brad Latham, said the quality of applicants this year had been remarkable.
“Every year, I’m thrilled by the enthusiasm and commitment shown by our Markets community, showcasing unwavering dedication to quality and excellence in all sectors,” he said. “The finalists for this year are truly outstanding, and I eagerly anticipate celebrating with the multitude of businesses that contribute to Sydney Markets’ exceptional reputation.”
