Imagination Farms

Imagination Farms has launched the Disney Garden Single Bakers with collectible stickers in a move to make typical commodity items like potatoes more child-friendly.

The individually wrapped single backers are smaller in size at 6-7oz, making them more appropriate portions for children. The peel-open labels with collectible stickers from the Russet Potato Exchange (RPE) include topping ideas designed to make baked potatoes more appealing to kids. The potatoes, supplied by RPE and Rigby Produce come in 30 piece merchandise ready boxes and have a suggested retail price of US$0.79-US$0.99 per potato.

“Consumers are always looking for healthy foods that offer convenience. The zero prep and fast cook time of these single bakers, not to mention the appeal to kids, gives mothers an easy meal option that helps us keep potatoes as an important staple of kids’ diets,” said Rachel Leach, marketing director at RPE.

Melinda Goodman, director of marketing for Imagination Farms, said: “Like all Disney Garden products, Imagination Farms takes time to evaluate how a product is used and find way to help kids embrace it, as ‘made just for them’ versus just another grown up food. With the single bakers, portion control and the collectible stickers were the differentiating factors from other pre-wrapped bakers. Our identification with mums and kids allows us to stay true to our mission of increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables amongst children by developing demographically correct products.”
