Del Monte Fresh Produce has announced the opening of a new modern distribution and processing center in Houston, Texas.
The 96,285 square foot facility on approximately 8.5 acres is Del Monte Fresh Produce’s 24th distribution, processing and repacking operation in North America and now gives the company four facilities in Texas to better serve its customers throughout North America.
“Our new Facility includes state-of-the art ripening rooms, multi-temperature storage areas and value-added services, such as fruit and vegetable processing capabilities, protein production, Direct Store Delivery, customised packing and sorting, and Just-in-Time delivery, and is a testament to our continued commitment to unparalleled service for our retail partners and consumers,” said Dennis Christou, vice-president of marketing, North America.
