Pasadena, California-based Sun Pacific has appointed Dave Medders as its new vice president of sales.
He will oversee sales for the company’s citrus portfolio, which includes its proprietary Cuties mandarins, Sun Pacific Navels, Vintage Sweets Heirloom Navels, Cara Caras, minneolas, and lemons, as well as its Mighties kiwifruit.
“Dave has built an impressive track record in the citrus industry over the past 20 years. His vast citrus sales experience and expansive product knowledge are valuable assets to our team,” said company president Barney Evans.
“He will play an instrumental role leading our sales team and developing customer programmes that maximize citrus category sales.”
Medders started his career with Griffith Farms where he worked in farms and packhouses before going into sales for Suntreat and later Sunkist.
He spent the last 14 years at Dimetri Gardikas Produce Company performing procurement and sales responsibilities for both domestic and import citrus, and the last five years in a sales management role.
