Oppenheimer

The Oppenheimer Group has appointed Nir Dubnikov as its new sales representative to focus on enhancing the marketer’s greenhouse-grown tomato, pepper, and cucumber business in the Eastern US.

“Greenhouse produce has grown to represent over a quarter of Oppenheimer’s total volume in recent years,” Bill Poulos, Newark sales manager, said in a press statement.

“We see an opportunity to serve our customers in this region better with our top-quality line of greenhouse items. Nir has the expertise to help make that happen.”

Mr Dubnikov has seven years’ experience in the fresh produce industry, most recently serving as the category manager for hothouse and imported products at Topkatz LLC at the New York Terminal Market.

In that role, which he held from February 2006 through March 2008, he specialized in procurement and sales of greenhouse as well as a full range of other items.

Previously, Mr Dubnikov was a national sales manager for Agrexco USA, based in Jamaica, New York from February 2001 to February 2006. The parent company, Carmel Agrexco, is Israel’s largest fresh produce exporter.

Mr Dubnikov holds an MBA from Manchester University in Tel Aviv, Israel, and a sociology degree from Tel Aviv University in the same city.
