american classic label coastline

Coastline Produce has announced in a press release that it will exclusively distribute vegetables under the American Classic label, in addition to its own Coastline and Greenettes labels.

Over the past year Coastline has added many of the key components of the original Salyer American organisation; including growers, employees, facilities, and now the labels.

Coastline will distribute under the American Classic label products such as celery, lettuce and romaine lettuce, with additional items to join the ever-broadening range in the new future.

The American Classic brand was first introduced in the early 1980s. According to Coastline it is a highly respected brand, with a loyal following in major markets such as Boston, Chicago, New York, Detroit and Canada as well as other international markets.

“At Coastline, we are always looking to improve our brand presence at the retail, foodservice and international levels,” said vice-president Phil Adrian.

“We are bringing these powerful brands back to the market place to support the continued growth of our products and services,” Mr Adrian adds. “We plan to leverage these brands to penetrate both new geographic and new market segments.”

Coastline is a year-round supplier of more than 25 fresh vegetables grown in Salinas, Huron, Yuma, Oxnard, Brawley and Mexico.
