veg ice cream

Ice cream could be a new channel for fruit and vegetable suppliers if a new product by Haagen-Dazs Japan takes off.

The ice cream giant will launch two fruit and vegetable flavour combinations on 12 May, as part of the new ‘Spoon Vege’ series, reported rocketnews24.com.

‘Tomato Cherry’ and ‘Carrot Orange’ will be available in pots of 100ml and sold at 284 yen (around £1.65).

The product launch will be promoted via a Facebook campaign where consumers can win a set of eight-cup vegetable ice cream sets.
