Vitacress has become the latest company to enter the juicing arena with the launch of an innovative range of cold pressed fruit and vegetable juices.
The Vitacress Smooth range includes Powercress (apple, pear, pineapple, watercress, spinach, mango, lemon and chard); Horta Fria (watermelon, orange, beetroot, banana and mint); Carotissimo (apple, carrot, pineapple, mango, lemon ginger and turmeric); Mexican (apple, cucumber, avocado, Romaine lettuce, kiwifruit, lemon and coriander) and Iron King (melon, apple, cucumber, spinach, lemon, kiwifruit, mango and ginger).
They are available in 240ml and 500ml bottles, is available in Portuguese stores.
“Vitacress juices are 100 per cent natural, with no added water, sugar, colouring or preservatives,” the company said.
The range is produced through cold pressing, an innovative high-pressure system that uses a hydraulic press to extract juice from fruit and vegetables at low temperature, allowing the preservation of its organoleptic properties and nutrients.
According to data from market research agency Marktest, almost 49 per cent of Portuguese aged 15 or over (approximately 4m people) regularly consume fruit and vegetable juices.
