Gerry Kelman

Gerry Kelman, manager of vertically integrated marketing (VIM) at Israel-based vegetable varietal developer Zeraim Gedera, has announced he will retire on 8 July 2010.

In a statement, Mr Kelman said: 'After seven exciting and challenging years, attempting to reap commercial benefits from Zeraim Gedera's VIM activities, I have decided that the time has come for me to finally retire and to vacate my position and activities for the younger generation.'

Mr Kelman's activities abroad will be covered by Luciano Fioramonti, downstream business development manager at agribusiness group Syngenta.

Zeraim Gedera was acquired by Syngenta in mid-2007 from Markstone Capital Partners, an Israeli private equity group.

Eli Yehoshua, agrotechnical and produce specialist at Zeraim Gedera, will cover Mr Kelman's current activities from Israel.
