Safeway entered into the carnival spirit recently with a Brazilian melon promotion held in their Scottish stores. Competitors were asked to complete the sentence: 'Safeway Brazilian melons put me in a carnival mood because...' 500 runners up won single use fun camera prizes, while the winner, Jennifer Noble was rewarded with a holiday to Rio de Janeiro.
A formal presentation was arranged at her local Scottish store in East Kilbride by store manager Colin Reid together with £500 spending money.
Noble's winning line concluded: '...Brazilian melons are so sweet that my tastebuds are parading to a Samba beat.'
