Logistics experts LCL AB is continuing to expand its operation in the Mediterranean area.

Following the establishment of LCL Iberia in Valencia, the company has now set up LCL Mediterranean Ltd as a holding company for the development of the LCL network of subsidiary companies, partnerships and agencies around the Mediterranean, North Africa, Black Sea, Caucasus and Red Sea.

The company is aiming to create a network of strong local offices in the Mediterranean and neighbouring regions, to expand its customer base and cater for the needs of existing business.

The first step was the establishment of LCL Iberia in Valencia to cover the Iberian Peninsula and to establish a European trucking and distribution network. During the end of 2005 and 2006 several new establishments in the Mediterranean region will follow.

As a vehicle for this process and acting as a holding company for the LCL group in the region, LCL Mediterranean Ltd. has been established with Rafael Llerena Jr. as managing director of the company.

Llerena will be responsible for the further expansion of the LCL network in the region through the establishment of LCL subsidiaries or appointment of strategic partners or agencies.
