The closure of a Morrisons distribution depot in Staffordshire, announced today, will do away with up to 582 jobs.
The Tamworth-based site is to close at the end of August.
The announcement follows a review of the network aimed at improving deliveries to stores in the South West and south Wales.
Morrisons said it was looking at alternative plans for the site.
The retailer wants to sell the site as a going concern and retain delivery firm DHL, which manages the site, as the operator.
