The Timber Packaging and Pallet Federation (TIMCON) has extended its worldwide representation with the appointment of president John Dye as international director of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association (NWPCA), the US timber packaging industry’s key organisation.
Dye’s new position further increases TIMCON’s participation in international issues affecting the wooden packaging and pallet industry.
Bruce Scholnick, president and ceo of NWPCA, said: “The board of directors of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association has long recognised that unit load management can no longer be viewed from a regional or national perspective.
“The wood pallet industry is an international business. The opportunities and threats are a global concern. By working collaboratively and co-operatively we benefit not only our industry, but also the many industries that rely on wood pallets to move their goods throughout the international supply chain.
"John brings incredibly valuable insights on wood-related topics as well as general business conditions in the UK.”
