Healthy snack brand Fruit Bowl has unveiled its first convenience range, including fruit peelers, flakes and yoghurt-covered raisins that can be bought in individual packs.

Available to distributors from the beginning of March, Fruit Bowl’s grab-and-go range is mainly aimed at parents with children, with the snacks designed to provide healthy snacking alternatives that contribute to your five-a-day.

With further convenience launches expected in the spring and summer of 2019, the initial range includes single-pack versions of existing multipack products, namely: Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackcurrant Peelers (59p each), Strawberry Yoghurt Flakes (49p each) and Juicy Yogurt Raisins (49p each).

The six-stranded Peelers are made from 100 per cent fruit and contain no added sugar, the Yogurt Raisins have no added colours or flavours, and the Strawberry Yogurt Flakes are created from purée and then covered in yogurt.

Jonathan Thorn, managing director of Pioneer Foods UK, which owns the Fruit Bowl brand, said: “The launch of our convenience range is a leap into a new market for Fruit Bowl and we’re incredibly excited about the opportunities this presents for the brand.

“This diffusion makes Fruit Bowl an even easier choice for parents, especially out of home. We’re over the moon to be able to offer our distributors, as well as our customers, more choice than ever.”

The convenience launch comes as food-to-go sales in convenience stores are set to grow by £0.5 billion over their next five years, with the value of the whole food-to-go market set to be worth £21.2bn in 2019, £6.2bn of which will be spent at convenience stores.
