The export season for Israeli stonefruit is underway, according to exporter Agrexco, and is expected to last until October.
The company’s peaches and nectarines are sold under the brand Ben-Dor, an Israeli stonefruit grower renowned for its high quality.
The first shipments are from the Lachish region, Agrexco said, in the south of Israel, and these will be followed by fruit from the north.
Varieties include Pita, Revital and Dolce.
Product manager Davidi Hayman said that he expected “outstanding quality and high sugar levels” this year.
“Cooperation between Carmel and Ben-Dor promises the customer premium stonefruits,” he said, “while Agrexco's meticulous shipment procedures safeguard their quality.”
