With over 35 years of experience in leading agro-food and retail corporations such as Capsa Food (Central Lechera Asturiana) and Ahold Supermarkets (Dinosol, Superdiplo), Vega will report directly to CEO Imanol Almudí, becoming a member of the executive committee.

“Andrés’ arrival is a key lever for our leadership team. His expertise brings the strategic vision in HR that we need to drive our growth plan – a plan that is, at its core, people-driven,” said Almudí.

Vega also brings extensive knowledge of labour relations, having served as a senior official at the Ministry of Labour, and as a member of the CEOE Social Dialogue Commission and the Advisory Council of the Spanish Supermarkets Association.

According to Agroponiente, his role will be instrumental in the company’s ambition to become a benchmark European agri-food operator, with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining top talent across the value chain.

“In such a dynamic sector, investing in professional development and talent attraction is what sets us apart and leads us to excellence,” Almudí added.
