The event takes place on 25-27 March 2012 at the ITC Maratha, Mumbai, and promises unmissable insights from industry leading experts from India and beyond.

Beaven will outline the size of the opportunity for imported apples in India, detailing the challenges posed by the dominance of the Red Delicious variety and India's distribution hurdles. He'll also look at the current and future opportunities in modern retail formats there and the issue of promotion and branding for the Indian consumer.

Pipfruit NZ, the peak body for New Zealand apples and pears, has taken a fresh approach to developing the Indian market, seeking to develop partnerships with domestic producers aimed at helping to raise their quality and productivity levels and thereby boost overall consumption. As CEO of Pipfruit NZ, Beaven will provide an exclusive insight to its work in this field.
