The Israeli port of Ashdod has announced that it last week broke its record for container traffic during a 24-hour period.
The port reportedly moved 5,013 containers, an increase of 10 per cent from the last record of 4,564 containers, which it achieved last October.
In last week's record 24-hour period, Ashdod handled seven container vessels, according to Port2Port.
