Peru’s Beta Agro-Industrial Complex (Beta) is forecasting significant growth for the 2026 blueberry season following an almost 30 per cent increase in its acreage. This would give it a cultivated area exceeding 2,040ha.

The company said the expansion is being driven by its strong performance last season, during which it produced 26,691 tonnes of blueberries, and would consolidate its position as one of the top three exporters of this fruit in Peru.

“Our sustained growth in operations in Lambayeque and Ica, coupled with investments in infrastructure, responsible agricultural practices and the opening of new export destinations, reinforces our role as a key player in the growth and positioning of the agro-industry,” the company told Agraria.
