In March, grower and government representatives from Morocco and Spain held the inaugural meeting of the Hispano-Morrocan working group on tomatoes.
The meeting was held in the Moroccan city of Casablanca and was set up by agreement between the governments of both countries last year.
The tomato campaign for the 2012/13 season and the EU-Moroocco trade agreement of October 2012 were up for discussion and representatives from Fepex, the Spanish federation of producer-exporters called for the agreement to be honoured.
