Other major operators managed to increase exports in September-October compared with same period last year, with subsidiary Compagnie des Bananes de Mondoni now the country’s third-largest banana exporter

One of Cameroon’s leading banana exporters did not ship any fruit during September and October, according to new figures released by industry association Assobacam.
But despite Boh Plantations’ absence from the international market, however, the country’s other major operators – led by Compagnie Fruitière ahead of others including Dole and SPB – were reportedly able to grow their exports during the two months compared with the same period of 2024.
As reported by Business in Cameroon, Compagnie Fruitière subsidiary Compagnie des Bananes de Mondoni has seen its business grow considerably since it entered the market in 2023.
It is now reckoned to be the country’s third-largest banana exporter.
The majority of Cameroon’s banana exports go to Europe, primarily to Belgium, France and the UK.
