Within the framework of its social responsibility policy, the company Camposol says its recently-concluded 2016 Useful Vacation Programme has benefited more than 500 children.

The children who took part in the initiative came from the communities of Chao, Nuevo Chao and Víctor Raul in the Northern Peruvian district of Virú, and included many children of the company’s collaborators.

This programme, which takes place during January and February, focuses on sterngthening the educational level of employee’s children and developing their artistic and athletic skills, as well as building self-esteem. It provides verbal reasoning and math classes, as well as workshops for art and creativity, computing, modern dance, traditional dance and sports. Local universities and schools provide advice and support.

“Every year, Camposol reaffirms its commitment to education by conducting the programme with the objective of developing the abilities and strengthening the education of children between 7 and 11 years,” the company said in a press release.

Human resources manager Martin Merino underlined Camposol’s commitment to an integral development of the children and thanked the staff and the community in general for stimulating their children to participate in the programme.
