Italian packaging specialist acquires long-term commercial partner, strengthening its footprint in northern Italy’s fresh produce packaging sector

Cartonpack Group has acquired Verona-based company Agrypack, as it looks to strengthen its commercial and operational presence in the northern Italian market for fresh produce and food packaging.
The two companies have been commercial partners for several years, so the merger is seen as a “natural evolution” that should benefit both thanks to greater efficiency and economy of scale.
Simone Turrini will remain at the helm as CEO of Agrypack, overseeing a new development plan for Agrypack’s historical site – with the expansion of activities across two logistics and production areas.
“This transaction formalises a long-standing and successful collaboration and opens up new growth opportunities, supported by a broader industrial structure and a shared vision focused on service quality and sustainable development,” Turrini said.
Giuseppe Leone, CEO of Cartonpack, commented: “The acquisition strengthens our presence in northern Italy and consolidates a historical partnership that has created value over time.
“It allows us to integrate commercial expertise and local market knowledge within a solid industrial platform, further improving service quality and customer proximity.”
